The pandemic caused unprecedented isolation and major shifts in social connections, location, and careers in an already at-times-isolating world. We find ourselves yearning for genuine interactions, missing the vitality that comes from vibrant conversations, shared laughter, and unguarded camaraderie. Now more than ever, women are eager to meet other like-minded women.
Recognizing the dire need to rebuild these lost connections, we set out to create an app specifically tailored to women: Tayst. An app to safely connect and empower women to grow their social and professional circles.
Our mission is simple yet profound - to bring women together, reigniting the age-old tradition of forming meaningful friendships. We’re here to provide a secure platform where women can easily find their community. Tayst is an invitation to get a drink or go to a concert. Tayst is finding a roommate or a friend in a new city. Meet the Founder
Tayst was created by former freelance designer, Taylor St. Claire. Traveling frequently for her creative work, Taylor often thought of how she would love for there to be a platform where she could find others like her. A place to connect with professionals, find friends in new cities, or even just someone to go to a concert with locally.
Over the past few years, Taylor has seen her friends scatter across the country. In conversations with them, she realized she wasn’t alone in feeling this sense of isolation. She recognized there was a need for a platform that empowered women to authentically connect & forge new friendships offline in this increasingly disconnected world.
Taylor set out to create an app for women in every stage of life, from recent graduates to new moms to established professionals wanting to grow their network. An app that women are proud to be a part of. Taylor’s hope is that this app revolutionizes the way women meet new friends, discover exciting events, and explore the coolest hotspots.
